Carries out general management and control over the activities of the Government, coordinates the activities of the First Vice Prime Minister, Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Economy and Finance, state bodies subordinate to the Government.

Defines the main directions of the Government's activities.

Ensures the implementation of measures for the protection of state sovereignty, territorial integrity, protection of the constitutional order, strengthening of defense capability and national security.

Coordinates issues:

-. implementation of foreign policy, external migration;

-public security and law and order, the fight against crime and corruption, ensures the observance of the rule of law, the rights and freedoms of citizens;

- pursuing a unified policy in the field of trafficking in narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors, countering their illicit trafficking;

- countering regional extremism, suppressing the activities of religious organizations that damage or threaten the health, morality, rights and legitimate interests of citizens;

-. defense, guarding and protection of the State Border, border control, prevention and suppression of violations of the State Border regime;

- pursuing state policy on border issues, fulfilling obligations arising from international treaties and agreements;

- justice, penal system and registration policy;

- protection of interests in courts, judicial and legal reform, attributed to the competence of the Government;

-. energy, information technology, communications and electronic government, policy in the field of electronic digital signature;

- industry, use of subsoil and mineral resources, coordination of actions of state bodies on the use and protection of water resources of transboundary rivers;

- transport, architecture, construction, housing and communal services and communications, repair and maintenance of roads and railways;

- regional development, reforming the system of the administrative-territorial structure of the republic, the activities of plenipotentiary representatives of the Government in the regions, local state administrations, as well as local self-government bodies in terms of the implementation of delegated state powers;

- optimization of the public administration system and increasing the efficiency of the activities of state executive bodies, improving the system of providing state and municipal services.

Carries out general coordination of issues of drawing up and execution of the state budget, implementation of budgetary policy.
