Leadership is a process of social influence, which maximizes the efforts of others, towards the achievement of a goal.
The most important qualities of a good leader include integrity, accountability, empathy, humility, resilience, vision, influence, and positivity.
Respect as demonstrated by self respect and respecting others regardless of differences I think are most important in a leader; treating others with dignity, empathy and compassion; and the ability to earn the respect of others. It's difficult to identify any effective leaders who do not have those values.
Below are major barriers to liberating motivation and maximizing engagement: Not listening — leading to indifference, hostility, miscommunication, misunderstanding and repetitive errors; fostering confusion through lack of vision or clear purpose — leading to poor focus, lack of coordination and haphazard planning.
