“GDP down by 11.8% and employment down by 2.9% in the euro
area” (8 September 2020, https://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/documents)
“A reputed Nationalised bank wants to estimate the change in
the perception of the senior citizens in a particular city for net
banking especially in the pandemic period. “
Based on the above two examples discuss the following
(i) Variable and attributes
(ii) Primary data and secondary data
(iii) Classification of data
(i) In first case GDP and employment rate are variables, their attributes may be that they become low as a result of decrease. In the second case the level of perception is a variable, and if it is high or low is an attribute.
(ii) GDP, employment and perception levels are primary data, and if this data is used in another research, then it is secondary data.
(iii) Classification of data will be used in second case after the data about perception of the senior citizens in a particular city for net banking is collected.
