You are the Head- HR of Adamsi, a reputed central board school group having 4 schools (each with 500 students & 25 teachers) at Pune which together employs 100 B Ed qualified PGTs & 100 support staff in 2020-21. 80% of teachers are females. The group plans to open a 5th school with everything remaining same. 

2. In last 3 years, it experienced average 10% teacher attrition. 

3. The board has now mandated appointment of 2 new teachers- 1 for social work and 1 for yoga & meditation in each school from 2021-22. It has also regulated that teachers’ work load cannot be increased from existing norms. 

4. Government has recently increased paid maternity leave to 9 months from 3 months plus additional 3 months without pay from 2021-22. Earlier, Adamsi HR used to handle 3 months maternity leave absence by increasing other teachers’ work load. Average 5 Adamsi teachers apply for maternity leave every year.
