Indifference curves are graphs showing various combinations of two commodities which an individual consider equal. Therefore, it is impossible for two indifference curves to cross because the common point of combination of goods will wrongly represent two amount of utility. Indifference curve cannot cross because the satisfaction level from different set of goods must be different for the same person.
