1.Tell us what your original answer to the question above was AND why;
2.Tell us what your current answer is AND why;
3.Answer the question: "So where do I fit in in this?" (Think back to the section on virtue ethics); and finally
4.Write a comment on what you think about my preferred answer AND of course explain why you think this.
1.My original answer was c. We have bigger problems than worrying about rhinos. I chose this answer because I instantly thought of the humanities problem's being of more importance. The life threatening issues such as:
The COVID-19 pandemic
The floods that happened earlier in 2020 in East Africa and affected 700,000 people war in Syria tghat has took over for almost 10 years.
I think humans are more important compared to rhinos.
2. My current answer is now: E. We must save the rhino because it is the right thing to do.
After reading through the Greenies chapter/notes, my outlook on nature has changed. When I think about the value of a human life, I feel that human's have intrisic value, "just because." Protecting the welfare of humans will always be the right thing to do, no questions asked and it has dawned on me that humans would fail to exist without nature and its ecosystems. Therefore nature and humans should be looked as a single entity from a humans' perspective. So since rhino's are essentially part of human beings then saving them is just the right thing to do.
