With cams, video, and social media generating massive amounts of data, in future the use of artificial intelligence (AI) could identify crimes that would otherwise go undiscovered and assist in ensuring greater public safety by investigating potential crime, thereby boosting public confidence in police departments and the judicial system.

Now: Technology has provided significant benefits to law enforcement in recent years. Technologically advanced equipment have assisted cops work more efficiently, alleviate personnel shortages, and promote officer safety.
