How do we measure gross domestic product, what are the different formulas for measuring GDP?

GDP is calculated by summing all of the money spent in a given period by consumers, corporations, and the government.

GDP = Consumption + Investment + Government Spending + Net Exports or more succinctly as GDP = C + I + G + NX
