Yes. Air pollution has negative impacts on human health and the environment, and the industry is one of the main contributors to air pollution. Some countries have turned to financial incentives by charging industries for every unit of their air pollution. As result, many managers opt for serious pollution control when they face steep, regular payments for emissions. And pollution charges not only cut emissions but generate public revenue as well – which in turn can support local efforts to control air pollution.
