How do you know if a function is continuous if the f is said to be strictly monotomic on an interval it hen f-1:f(1)

Whether the inverse of the image being used is of an open set open or closed in this case the inverse of then image is supposed to be 2

The proving if a monotonic of any function is continuous one must suppose that the loss of generality is preserved that f is strictly increasing.

The reason why f should be co0ntinous on a graph is because, strict monotonicity of the f is needed to ensure that we avoid having a graph that is saw tooth function.
