Question #48482

Why do colloids show tyndall effect?

Expert's answer

A Tyndall effect is always used as a testing to distinguish the true solution and a colloid. The particles of a true solution are too small to scatter light. At the same time a beam of light, which is directed to the colloid, is being scattered.
