The Brownian motion has the same nature as diffusion, yet it is much slower due to large size and mass of particles. The particles of a solid can diffuse in air as well as in liquid; however, the larger density of solid particles as compared with gas will cause their subsidence. Therefore, their air suspension will be unstable.
