Beta oxidation of myristic acid (C14; 1 FADH2 = 1.5 ATP; 1 NADH = 2.5 ATP):

Activation - 2 ATP

Oxidation of 6 FADH2 = + 9 ATP

Oxidation of 6 NADH = + 15 ATP

Total = 22 ATP

Complete oxidation of myristic acid (1 acetyl CoA = 10 ATP):

Beta oxidation +22 ATP

Oxidation of 7 Acetyl CoA = +70 ATP

Total = 92 ATP

Answer: 92 ATP; 22 ATP
