I want to know if x ray is better than gamma ray in killing cancerous tumor in the body and why

There is no difference. The mechanism of action of both types of radiation is the same. Also , for ionizing radiations such as low LET X-rays and gamma-rays, 60% of cellular damage is caused by the indirect effects.
