The values of all 4 quantum numbers for 2P electrons are as follows:
1. n = 2
2. l = 1
3. ml = -1.0, + 1
4. ms = -1/2 or +1/2
n is a fundamental quantum number that determines the energy of the electron, as well as the
size of the orbital.
l denotes the form of an orbital associated with a particular basic quantum number. this value
goes from 0 to n-1.
ml is a magnetic quantum number dividing suboblocki into separate orbitals that hold electrons; in
each podbolochki there are 2 + 1 orbitals.
The last ms is the quantum number of the spin, which defines the orientation of the axis of
rotation of the electron.
