Molarity or molar concentration is the amount of dissolved substance (number of moles) per unit volume of solution. The molar concentration in the SI system is measured in mol/m³, however in practice it is much more often expressed in mol / L or mmol / L.

Normality or normal concentration is the amount of equivalents of a given substance in 1 liter of solution. The normal concentration is expressed in mole-equivalents / L or g-equiv / L (mol equivalents are meant).
