Answer: i) Isolated system In physical science, an isolated system is either of the following: 1. a physical system so far removed from other systems that it does not interact with them. 2. a thermodynamic system enclosed by rigid immovable walls through which neither matter nor energy can pass.
ii) Isothermal process An isothermal process is a change of a system, in which the temperature remains constant: ΔT = 0. iii) Adiabatic process An adiabatic process is one that occurs without transfer of heat or matter between a thermodynamic system and its surroundings. In an adiabatic process, energy is transferred only as work. iv) Isobaric process Isobaric process v) Isochoric process An isochoric process, also called a constant-volume process, an isovolumetric process, or an isometric process, is a thermodynamic process during which the volume of the closed system undergoing such a process remains constant.
