The enthalpy of the reaction is negative means this is an exothermic reaction. We know, exothermic reactions are the reactions that release heat. For increasing the yield of glucose 6-phosphate we must decrease the temperature, so released heat from the reaction get easily and reaction get favor toward the product side.
