Energy (joule/mole) of 300 nm wavelength radiation is

given

wavelength = 300 nm = 300 x10^-9 m

also we have Plank's constant ,h= 6.626 x10^-34 Js

speed of light , c= 3 x10^8 m/s

then energy of a photon = h*c/wavelength

plug in given numbers

E =6.626 x10^-34 Js *3 x10^8 m/s/300 x10^-9 m

 = 0.06626 x10^-17 J

1 mol photons= 6.022 x10^23 number of photons

So Energy of 1 mol photon

==>

E = = 0.06626 x10^-17 J *6.022 x10^23 = 0.399 x10^6 J/mol

Answer

E=3.99 x10^5 J/mol
