The deal behavior is based on the simple microscopic assumption that intermolecular forces between unlike molecules are equal to those between similar molecules. It is realized when the interactive forces between molecules approach zero, like in ideal gases where distance between molecules is much larger then their sizes. And in ideal solutions when concentration approaches zero the distance between molecules of solute is much larger then their sizes.
