tRNA specifically binds to an aminoacid to be incorporated in the protein: the aminoacid is activated by ATP in presence of a specific ferment, then it binds to the corresponding tRNA and AMF is eliminated. For each aminoacid there is a specific tRNA. On the second step, the aminoacid-tRNA complex is bound to mRNA (matrix RNA), which incorporates the aminoacid into the protein chain and liberates tRNA.
