explain why hexane and 2,2-dimethlybutane are isomers

Is propyl amide more acidic or propyl alcohol

what is the function of phosphtidylserine, phosphotidylethanolamine, phosphtidylinsitol.

3. A pure white crystalline compound was found to melt at 131.5-132.0oC when taken on a melting point apparatus, and on further heating, the liquid was found to start bubbling at ca. 155-160 oC. The capillary containing the melted compound was set aside to cool, and resolidify. When the sample was retried using that same capillary, the sample melted at 120.6-154.5oC, along with some bubbling. What is the cause of the bubbles? Why is the melting point so wide the second time? Explain by stating what you have learned in this laboratory about melting points.

When performing a melting point on a solid compound using a melting point apparatus, two melting point determinations were made. One sample, which was 1 mm in height in the capillary, possessed a melting point of 133.0-133.5oC. The other sample was 10 mm in height. What would you expect the approximate melting point to be for this sample, assuming identical heating rates of 1°/min? (Hint: heat is applied from the bottom of the sample) (Give an actual numerical approximation!)(Hint: at what temperature would 1g of ice start melting at? At what temperature would 10g of ice start melting at?)

5. For the same solid compound as the question above, if the 1 mm sample was heated at 10o per minute on a melting point apparatus, what would you expect for an approximate melting point? (note that at this heating rate, the sample will melt rather quickly, but again give an actual numerical approximation)

CONSIDERING ONLY THE PROTONES BONDED TO CARBON, put in order of acidity

Draw the complete structural formula from each condensed structure. Include all hydrogen atoms.

If we dissolve CaCO3 in water, we get the following equilibrium:

CO3^2-(aq)+H2O(l) =HCO3^-(aq) + OH^-(aq)

0.675 grams of calcium carbonate is dissolved in enoughwater to make 500 mL of solution. The MW of CaCO3 is 100 g/mol and the Kb of CO3^2- is 2.1x10^-4.
