The linear form of glucose has 4 chiral atoms of carbon. On the contrary, the cyclic form (shown below) has 5 chiral atoms of carbon numbered respectively the firs (1), the second (2), the third (3), the fourth (4) and the fifth (5). (4) Five is the correct answer on the test question.
