An organic compound P, molecular formula CHO, gave two products when heated with concentrated sulphuric acid at 180C, One of these products, R. decolourized an acidified solution of potassium manganate (V11). When P was warmed with acidified potassium dichromate (VI) solution, the organic product formed, M. reacted with sodium carbonate solution to give a colourless gas, N. which turned lime-water 'milky'. Deduce the identity of P. R, M and N explaining your reasoning.
