My question is that is we have some other groups like aldehyde or ketone with an alkene in the same compound . will the c=o of aldehyde or ketone get affected by the addition of HBr in the persence of peroxide?

Such compounds are rapidly brominated in dioxane with the H2O2 - HBr aqeous system, resulting in the replacement of two hydrogen atoms in the methyl group with bromine.
