i want to determine ppm of formaldehyde in food sample using spectrometric method based on hantzsch reaction, the reagents that i used are amonium hidroxide and acetoacetanilide, based to the last research max.wavelength for this methode is 368 nm. but when i examine by my self, i found two max.wevelenght 310 nm dan 370 nm with absorbance 0,1648 and 0,0693. based on the last research i choose 370 nm as max.wavelength. but i need a reason 370 nm is chosen, not 310 nm?
plis...give me some literature about if if u have..thanks
