The color of hair depends on two factors: genetic and endocrine. Special substances - pigments - determine the color of hair. Two pigments play the main role - eumelanin (black and brown) and feomelanin (yellow and red). Their combination gives all the color gamma. This pigments are being synthesized by special cells (melanocites) only according to genetical program.
