1.What is intramolecular bonding and an ecample of it. What is intermolecular bonding and an example of it.
2.What is intermediate bonding and an example.
3.What are two conditions for polarity.?
1.Intramolecular forces are the forces that hold atoms together within a molecule i.e Metallic Bonding while Intermolecular forces are forces that exist between molecules i.e Van der Waals Forces.
2.The measure of the attraction of an atom in a molecule for a pair of electrons in a covalent bond.In a covalent bond between two atoms of the same element [e.g. H2 or Cl2], the pair of electrons is shared equally because both nuclei are the same.
3.1-We must have at least one polar bond or one lone pair on the central atom.
2-If there are more than one polar bond, they must be arranged in a way that their dipoles do not cancel.
