heptanol -1 is a primary alcohol, heptanol -2 is a secondary one.

1) It is necessary to add Lucas's reagent (concentrated hydrochloric acid with zinc chloride) to each test tube, after five minutes the solution in the test tube with secondary alcohol will become cloudy, the primary alcohol will not react in any way.

2) Add Corey reagent to each tube, wait, then add Fehling's solution. An orange or yellow precipitate will appear in the test tube with primary alcohol.
