Isomers are compounds that have identical chemical formulae but differ in their structure and, hence, their properties. For example, both butane and isobutane have 4 atoms of carbon and 10 atoms af hydrogen (therefore, they have the chemical formula of C4H10), but their structure is different, they have different properties, for example, different melting and boiling points.
