Glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate occurs as a byproduct in the biosynthesis pathway of tryptophan, an essential amino acid that can not be produced by the human body.

PH will shift from lower towards higher values in presence of increasing acetic acid concentration.

Treatment with very high concentration of acetic acid will cause significant growth reduction even in high extracellular PH condition.
