Answer: Ortho directing activator are the group which increases the electron density of the Ortho position of Benzene ring. Incoming electrophile come and attacks in Ortho position as electron density increases than normal benzene ring in Ortho position.

Ortho directing deactivator are the group which takes out electron from Ortho position of benzene ring. As electron density decrease in Ortho position, incoming electrophile don't attacks in Ortho position.

Meta directing deactivator are the group, which takes out electron density from meta position of the Benzene ring. As electron density decrease in meta position, incoming electrophile don't attacks in meta position.
