mixing 0.32g of methane gas with 1.6g of oxygen at temperature 27c and a pressure P0.
Due to spark, a chemical reaction takes place; where at same temperature, the pressure becomes P.
a- How to find a relation between P and P0
b- Calculating the density relative to air of the initial mixture d0 and that of the mixture d. Deduce the relation between d and d0
differentiate between (answer as per 9th class ICSE text book):
1. burning - respiration
2. oxidation - reduction
3. drying agent - dehydrating agent

4.water pollution
define the following as per 9th class icse text book:
1. distillation
2. water pollution
3. solution
4. efflorescence
5. hygroscopic substances
6. solubility
7. burning
8.saturated solution
9.neutralisation reaction
10.pollution
11.thermal dissociation

In a reaction at equilibrium X mole of the reactant A decompose to give one mole each of C and D. It has been found that the fraction of A decomposed at equilibrium is independent of initial concentration of A. Find the value of X
A sample of 18K gold contains the following by mass: 18.0 grams gold. 3.0 grams silver, and 3.0 grams copper. What is the percentage of gold?
what is the empirical formula for compunds formed with calcium and oxygen?
I have had this question in my homework, and honestly I got stuck in these questions. I managed to convert 5.3g of Na2CO3 into moles, but then I got stuck and do not know what to do next to solve the question.

If anyone knows how to work this out, help from anyone is greatly appreciated (:

The addition of 5.3g of anhydrous sodium carbonate to 2.00dm³ of an aqueous solution of a strong acid exactly neutralises the acid

2H+ (aq) + (CO3)2-(aq) ==> CO2 (g) + H2O (l)

a. Calculate the pH of the original solution

b. In a second experiment, 5.3g of NaOH were added, instead of sodium carbonate, to 2.00dm³ of the original solution. Calculate the pH of the resulting solution.

Thanks! :)
calculate % ionic character of K---Cl bond in KCL. electro negativity of K and CL are 0.8, and 3.0 respectively
In the 2011-2012 academic year, Dr. Harmon used approximately 515 kg of methane in his home for heating, hot water, and stove/oven use. How many 75-gallon barrels of waste corn oil should Dr. Harmon collect to produce his own methane for 1 entire year assuming he uses the exact same amount of methane as in the 2011-2012 academic year? The density of oleic and linoleic acids are very similar, you may assume both are 0.90 g/cm3. Additionally, you may assume the percent yield of methane production from corn oil pyrolysis is 100%

HC18H31O2+ O2(g) àCH4(g) + CO2(g) + H2O(g) + H2(g)

HC18H33O2 + O2(g) àCH4(g) + CO2(g) + H2O(g) + H2(g)

To make this problem easier, you may assume 65% of the methane produced comes from linoleic acid and 35% of the methane produced comes from oleic acid.
