Electrometallurgy is used for extraction of non-ferrous and active metals, such as magnesium, aluminum, lead, zinc, copper, manganese, magnesium, silver, gold, chromium, cobalt, alkali metals and rare-earth metals. It is the only one obtaining method for sodium, magnesium and aluminum as pure metals.
