why aluminuim is used in flashlight photography?

Because aluminium is very good reductant and its powder can easily interact with such oxidants as potassium perchlorate or potassium nitrate and sulphur so those mixtures of oxidizer and metallic fuel burns quickly and if confined produces a loud report. That is why it was used for flashes in photography.
