I am using Sodium Carbonate Peroxyhydrate to control filamentous algae in a garden pond.
After adding the SCP at a rate of .5lb/2800 USG the pH rises to 8.

Can I add sodium bisulfate at a rate of 150g to the SCP or only afterwards to the body of water in order to return the pH to 7?

Solution

You should add sodium bisulphate after SCP finished its action. Hydrogen Peroxide has stronger oxidation power in alkaline media.
