Why do we use glycerin on our skin in winter?
Answer: Glycerin - this trivalent alcohol in nature, which means in its composition has 3 oxygen atoms, each of which has a lone pair of electrons. Each of these pairs may stick water molecule.
Thus glycerol is quite hygroscopic liquid, which in turn is used in cosmetology.
In winter, the humidity is very low, even goes as far as the mark in the Sahara desert. Therefore, our skin dries. And in order for that to avoid drying out the skin using glycerin, which absorbs water from the air and moistens our skin.
