why do we use saturated sodium chloride to precipitate a polymer like for example PVA?

The saturated sodium chloride solution take away water from the polymer solution due to the effects same to osmosis. The lack of water dramatically accelerates the coagulation of polymer, therefore it quickly turns to precipitate.
