Question #31475

r coloured metal (A) is added to dilute sulphuric acid, solution (B) is formed which is colourless solution and a gas (c) is evolved which is colourless name ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ and write the equation?

Expert's answer

There are three colored metals - gold, copper and caesium. Only caesium reacts with diluted sulfuric acid, according to following equation:
2Cs + H2SO4 = Cs2SO4 + H2
The solution of Caesium Sulfate is formed.

Hence,
A is Caesium (Cs)
B is solution of Caesium Sulfate (Cs2SO4)
C is Hydrogen (H2)
