Chlorine can be obtained in many ways. I would like to offer this one: the electrolysis of solution of NaCl. It’s necessary to construct the device shown in Fig.
In a beaker placed two rods of coal battery. On the rod connected to the positive pole, put a cup (for example from the glue) with the bottom cut off. The tip of the cap is cut off, too, and between it and a glass cork is clamped ( for example of penicillin vial). In a cork there is a hole for the tube.
Then there is dehumidifier.
The hole of it is enclosed by cotton and then you need to fill it with SaCl₂ or CuSO₄.
The current source - any such battery or multiple connected batteries.
Do not forget about safety: chlorine is dangerous even in small quantities! Therefore, experimenting in the laboratory under a hood or, in extreme cases, in the yard.
