Ba2+ is one of the most congruent ion that forms a precipitate when added to sodium carbonate and sodium sulfate solutions but which gives no visible reaction with sodium chloride or sodium hydroxide solution.
The reactions for processes with precipitate forming:
Ba(aq)2++Na2SO4(aq)→2Na+(aq)+BaSO4(s)↓ (white precipitate)Ba(aq)2++Na2CO3(aq)→2Na+(aq)+BaCO3(s)↓ (white precipitate)
The reaction for process with no visible reaction:
For Ba2++NaCl there is no some reaction
Ba(aq)2++2NaOH(aq)=2Na+(aq)+Ba(OH)2(aq)
