I would get a concentrated volumetric solution. These are generally sold to make up one liter, so I would have half a liter spare.


Failing that, I would weigh out 2 grams in a polypropylene beaker on a top load balance. I would dissolve it in water then pour and rinse into a 500 ml volumetric flask, but not worry too much about getting the meniscus right. Mix well.


Now I have a solution which is approximately 1.5 M. I would standardize it against a known acid to find out what it was, and write this on a label to stick on the flask.
