The process of receipt of sulphuric acid from sulphur includes three stages:

1) incineration of sulphur at surplus of air :

$$S + O_2 = SO_2$$

2) contact the oxidation of $SO_2$ to $SO_3$:

$$S + O_2 = SO_2$$

A process passes with by a catalyst on the basis of vanadium oxide $V_2O_5$ and at a temperature $420-550^{\circ}C$.

3) absorption of $SO_3$:

$$n SO_3 + H_2O = H_2SO_4 + (n-1)SO_3 + Q$$

if $n < 1$, we get diluted sulfuric acid.
