Diluting necrosis occurs due to strong bases, and coagulation necrosis occurs due to strong acids. Coagulation necrosis remains relatively superficial, while diluent necrosis caused by strong bases will penetrate deeply and "melt" the tissue.

Answer:

liquefactive necrosis occurs due to strong bases, and coagulative necrosis occurs due to strong acids.
