How can we determine the sample that is containing chloride ion where as we are given three samples containing chloride, bromide, and iodide ions seprately???

The simplest method is to add silver nitrate solution to samples solutions:

I+AgNO3=>AgI+NO3I^-+AgNO_3 =>AgI + NO_3^- AgI is a yellow precipitate

Br+AgNO3=>AgBr+NO3Br^-+AgNO_3 =>AgBr + NO_3^- AgBr is a yellowish precipitate

Cl+AgNO3=>AgCl+NO3Cl^-+AgNO_3 =>AgCl + NO_3^- AgCl is a white precipitate
