Suboxides are a class of oxides wherein the electropositive element is in excess relative to "normal" oxides.

So, for example Cs11O3, Rb9O2, B6O and C3O2 are suboxides of Cs, Rb, B and C correspondingly (Cs2O, Rb2O, B2O3 and CO2 are corresponding normal oxides).
