Answer to Question #87952 in General Chemistry for Rachelle

Question #87952
Amanda enjoys lighting the Bunsen burner and playing with the flame. She has wasted a lot of natural gas(CH4) which costs $3 per 1000 cubic feet. 1000 cubic feet is 28316.8 liters of gas. Fortunately this is not as expensive as breaking a large piece laboratory glassware. If Amanda burns 50000L of natural gas ina combustion reaction at 769 torr and 28degrees C will there be enough oxygen gas in the room to sustain the flame if the room contains 90000L? What is the L.R.? What is in excess?
