Alright, in chemistry class we have a lab where we have to figure out what the 2 products are when you react Mg(a small ribbion (s) + HCl(aq) When we did the reaction we got a gas (which we figured out was Hydrogen by using the flame test and we heard a pop sound) but how would figure out what the clear colorless solution is?? From the formula I know it's Mg and Cl but how do you prove that?? Like do you react it with something?? Or a flame test?? How do you prove the solution left over is Mg + Cl??
