The only sufficient difference in the experimental procedures is if the product of the reactant(s) need to be heated or not. For the Phillips Milk of magnesia, heat is not added. Therefore, its procedure would look like this: Reactant → Product (No heat is required to obtain the product). But for the sample of Maalox, the reactant(s) would require heat in order to get the product so the procedure would look like this: Reactant → Heat → Product (Heat is required in the reaction to obtain the product).
