A solute was added to 100 g of H2O and was found to have a solubility of 112 g at 25 degrees Celsius. What would be the solubility in 375 g of H2O at 25 degrees Celsius?

Solubility here is the amount of solute that is needed in order to reach saturated solution.
If temperature remains constant then amount of solute is proportional to the amount of solvent (water in our case):
100 g of water – 112 g of solute
375 g of water – X g of solute.

X = 375 g * 112 g / 100 g = 420 g
